The CHSCA sponsored Multi-Sport Clinic and Coaching School will be on July 27 and 28 at the Radisson Denver Southeast once again this summer. Final preparations and planning are being completed for a great lineup of speakers and presentations. There will also be an ADDED clinic session for FIRST YEAR COACHES at TOPGOLF on July 26. (more info in this issue) The clinic is the place for all coaches to complete their rules and concussion requirements, as well as working on their x’s and o’s. We will be offering additional general coaching sessions during many of the time slots this year to give coaches options to choose from. There are sessions planned for topics such as: “7 ways to lead, Proactive Coaching”, “Outperform the Norm”, “Practice with a Purpose” and “The Legal Aspects and Sports Litigation” Our director of education, Dr. Rick Bettger, will be present to help you with meeting your continuing education requirements. Members of the CHSAA staff will be presenting updates and getting your feedback during the clinic sessions, and will be around for individual interactions. In addition to all of the educational opportunities this is the place to connect with coaching colleagues from around the state. These connections might happen at the Friday night social, Saturday morning breakfast, the Saturday morning FCA sponsored session, or just before, between, or after a session. Come and improve yourself as a coach. Mark July 27-28 on your calendar, and register to attend the clinic. All registrations are online at www.colohsca.org. The clinic is open to current members of the CHSCA only. New memberships begin on July 1, but the registration is NOW OPEN--so join for the new school year and register for the clinic. Remember to make room reservations early and tell them that you are attending the CHSCA Multi- Sport Clinic. The number for the Radisson is: 720-857-9000. Have a great summer. We look forward to seeing you at the clinic. Christopher Kemm- Multi-Sport Clinic and Coaching School Director
